I've just found out from a blog I occasionally visit (alexkoay.blogspot.com) that Robert Jordan has passed away.. on 16 Sept. I'd known that he was suffering from a terminal disease.. and that it was just a matter of time. But . this. is. still. a. shock.
His WOT series has had such a HUGE impact on my life. I will forever remember the 'You shall receive Threefoldland' torture that V used to inflict on me. Well. heh. I never said the impact was positive ;)
And my name.. that's where it came from. From Lanfear's alter-ego in one of the books. She was my fave character. Gorgeous. Vicious. What's not to like.
TIme really passes. I remember astro introducing me to the series 10 years ago.. not once mentioning that the series was ongoing. ANd V. I think I should try to contact him. One for old times.
sigh. RJ. You will be missed.
